Mark W. Surrey, MD, F.A.C.O.G., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Surrey is a highly trained Reproductive Endocrinologist who is part of the fertility specialist team at Southern California Reproductive Center (SCRC), a participating provider in the WINFertility Network.

Education and Certification
Dr. Surrey earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and his MD from George Washington University. He completed an internship and his residency at UCLA Medical Center, and his Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at the University of London, Hammersmith Hospital. He trained in preimplantation genetic diagnosis at the University of London and Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.

He is double-board-certified in Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility and Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Surrey is Co-founder and Medical Director of the Southern California Reproductive Center; he is a leader in the field of fertility and reproductive medicine, including reproductive surgery and in vitro fertilization.

He is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Surrey is a past president of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), and a past president of the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society.

Dr. Surrey’s has written numerous articles for peer-reviewed publications, including Fertility and Sterility, the Journal of Reproductive Medicine and the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics.

He has extensive training in pelvic reconstructive surgery, microsurgery and laparoscopic surgery, IVF and preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD). Dr. Surrey is also pursuing research that can improve embryo implantation, to reduce the risk of multiple pregnancies and advance the success of embryo transfer. Dr. Surrey is on the cutting edge of egg cryopreservation to preserve fertility for women facing cancer or those who wish to delay pregnancy.

He has been voted one of the “Top 100 Health Professionals”, and is listed in “Best Doctors in America”.
