Making a Difference
Patients on a fertility journey face many emotional challenges. WIN supports them through every step of the journey. It is also great to see so many WINners supporting each other – last month Walter Powell, Brittni Quigley, Holly Lefkow and Jan Missildine were praised by patients and providers for their help and dedication. We are proud of all of our WIN employees who continue to make a difference in patients’ lives each and every day!

Valentine's Day
Valentine’s Day is an opportunity to celebrate all the love and relationships in our lives – with spouses, partners, family and friends. Infertility is an emotional journey, and can cause issues in these different types of relationships. In celebration of Valentine’s Day this month, let us all take time to be there for those who may need emotional support, and to cherish the relationships that we are blessed with. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Black History Month
February is Black History Month! Infertility affects at least 12% of women up to age 44, but historically people of color have been seen as very fertile, and there is a stigma to infertility in many communities. Research suggests that Black women are twice as likely to experience infertility as white women, yet only 8% seek medical help (almost half of white women). All people should have access to infertility care, and no one should feel ashamed in getting help medically and emotionally. Join the fight for fertility for women of color by visiting resources recommended by RESOLVE such as the Tinina Q. Cade Foundation, Fertility for Colored Girls and the Broken Brown Egg.
