Dr. Van Deerlin is a highly trained Reproductive Endocrinologist who is part of the fertility specialist team at South Jersey Fertility Center, a participating provider in the WINFertility Network.
Education and Certification
Dr. Van Deerlin received his medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO and was the recipient of the Samuel D. Soule Award in Obstetrics and Gynecology for meritorious achievement in basic or clinical investigation. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Barnes Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis and his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center.
He is double-board-certified in Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility and Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Van Deerlin joined South Jersey Fertility Center in 1997. He is a past president of the Philadelphia Area Reproductive Endocrine Society. He is an accomplished clinician and clinical investigator, having published articles in major journals and presented his work at numerous scientific meetings.
Dr. Van Deerlin is certified in Advanced Laparoscopic Skills for Tubal Anastomosis from the MOET Institute in San Francisco and is credentialed in da Vinci robotic surgery.
Dr. Van Deerlin is a Diplomate with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow at the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, the Society of Reproductive Surgeons, the Philadelphia Area Reproductive Endocrine Society, the Philadelphia Obstetrical Society, and the Editorial Board of Fertility Today Magazine. He has been selected as a “Top Doc” and “Top Physician” by South Jersey Magazine 5 years in a row and “Top Physician for Women”. He is conversant in Spanish, which allowed him to lead a medical mission to Ecuador to teach laparoscopy to gynecologist, in the Andes.
