Dr. Thornton is a highly trained Reproductive Endocrinologist who is part of the team at RMA of New York, a participating provider in the WINFertility Network.
Education and Certification
Dr. Thornton received her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and her medical degree (graduating cum laude with honors) from Florida State University. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas and her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. She is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and board eligible in Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility.

Prior to joining RMA of New York she was clinical instructor in the department of obstetrics and gynecology and administrative chief resident at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She has been the recipient of several awards and honors including the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellowship, the Dean’s Award at FSU College of Medicine and the Merritt Ryals Clements MD Award for Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Thornton has published numerous scientific abstracts and articles in peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Endocrinology. She has presented her research at national conferences including the American Society of Reproductive Medicine Annual Meeting and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Annual District Meeting. She is a member for the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the Gold Humanism in Medicine Honor Society and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecology.
