Dr. Hotaling is a highly trained Urologist who is part of the fertility specialist team at the Utah Center for Reproductive Medicine, a participating provider in the WINFertility Network.
Education and Certification
Dr. Hotaling received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude in Biophysical Chemistry and History from Dartmouth College and his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Urology and obtained a master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Washington. Dr. Hotaling completed a fellowship in Andrology at the University of Illinois, Chicago. He is board-certified in Urology.

Dr. Hotaling has trained in the clinical aspects of male infertility and genetic epidemiology. He is currently the only fellowship trained male infertility/andrology expert in Utah. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Utah. Prior to this, he worked building the male fertility cryopreservation databank at the University of Washington, which resulted in the largest U.S. database of men cryopreserving sperm because of cancer.
He is an associate editor for Fertility and Sterility and has been published in over 25 publications including the Journal of Urology, the Journal of Sexual Medicine and the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism.
