Dr. Peterson is a highly trained Reproductive Endocrinologist who is part of the fertility specialist team at the Utah Center for Reproductive Medicine, a participating provider in the WINFertility Network.
Education and Certification
Dr. Peterson received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude in Microbiology from Brigham Young University and his medical degree from the University of Utah. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Maricopa Medical Center in
Phoenix, AZ and his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Miami in Florida. He is double-board- certified in Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility and Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Peterson is the Interim Chief of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and serves as the John A. Dixon Presidential Professor and Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Utah. He is also the Practice Director of the IVF program at the Utah Center for Reproductive Medicine.
He has been published numerous times in Fertility and Sterility, the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics, Obstetrics and Gynecology and is the co-editor of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Integrating Modern Clinical and Laboratory Practice.
Dr. Peterson is a member of the America Society for Reproductive Medicine, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Central Association of Obstetrics and Gynecologists. When he is not working Dr. Peterson and his family enjoy snow skiing, water skiing and dirt bike riding. He is fluent in Japanese.
