Dr. McAvey is a highly trained Reproductive Endocrinologist who is part of the fertility specialist team at RMA of New York, a participating provider in the WINFertility Network.
Education and Certification
Dr. McAvey earned her BS in Biology and Psychology at Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY. She received her graduated degree in Reproductive Biology, graduating summa cum laude from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, and her medical degree from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. McAvey completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Center and her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Albert Einstein College of Medicine Montefiore Medical Center.
She is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and board-eligible in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Dr. McAvey is on the faculty as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. She has served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women’s Health at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and at Medicine Montefiore Medical Center’s Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Health.
She has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Distinguished House Staff Award from New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical Center and the Resident for Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparosopists. Dr. McAvey has been published in several journals including Fertility & Sterility, Menopausal Medicine and Biology of Reproductive, the Official Journal of the Society for the Study of Reproduction. She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
