Dr. Fechner is an attending physician who is part of the fertility specialist team at University Reproductive Associates (URA), a participating provider in the WINFertility Network.
Education and Certification
Dr. Fechner earned is his undergraduate degree with honors from Harvard University, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He received his medical degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), in Newark.
He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and 3 year subspecialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at UMDNJ.

Dr. Fechner specializes in minimally invasive surgery to correct problems associated with infertility, menstrual disorders and pelvic pain. During his residency and fellowship he was trained to operate the da Vinci surgical robot. He offers robotic surgery to patients for treatment of uterine fibroids, endometriosis, and ovarian cysts as well as for tubal reanastamosis following a previous sterilization procedure.
He has received numerous awards including UMDNJ-NJMS Department of Gynecology Chairman’s Award and Resident Research Award and has been published in on a variety of topics in numerous journals including the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Fechner is a native of New Jersey and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
